Cecilia Gabriella Gallia
Teacher trainer

Cecilia began her career in the late 1970s, studying under masters such as Jerzy Grotowski, Eugenio Barba, and prominent Eastern actors. She has a background in psychology and holds a certificate in Art Counselling from the Aspic School in Rome, where she later taught Theatre for Counselling after graduating. Her experience conducting theatre workshops and teaching theatre to counsellors has helped her develop and refine the relational skills and competencies needed to guide others through creative processes. Since 1999, Cecilia has narrated audiobooks for the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted.

In Florence, she is recognised for her work as an author and storyteller during urban treks focusing on the lives of remarkable women. She also teaches annual courses on the same subject at the Free University for the Elderly, organised by the Municipality of Florence. Additionally, she co-authored a Women Street Map, “Firenze delle donne e le donne a Firenze”, sponsored by the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation and the Municipality of Florence. In 2006, she authored “There is NO FREEDOM WITHOUT COURAGE - Women’s Voices for Human Rights”, published by the Regional Council of Tuscany.
