Soft skills for teachers

Course description

Course overview and purpose:
Teaching is not just about delivering content—it requires strong leadership, clear communication, strategic time management, and the ability to foster trust and teamwork among students, as well as run effective and purposeful meetings with colleagues. In today’s demanding educational environment, these soft skills are essential to creating a cohesive and effective school culture.
This practical course is designed to help teachers and school staff build core professional competencies, including effective communication, facilitation techniques, time management, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, structured discussions, and scenario-based exercises to explore how to lead more effectively, manage workload demands, and navigate challenging interpersonal dynamics.
You’ll reflect on your leadership style, communication habits, and time-management skills to coordinate more efficiently with colleagues, lead meetings or groups with confidence, and respond constructively in high-pressure situations.
These professional capabilities are key to classroom management, staff collaboration, and whole-school development. Each session is grounded in practical strategies and provides time for reflection, ensuring that participants leave equipped to apply their learning directly in their roles.
